Alex Struck is a 2015 graduate of Morningside College located in Sioux City, Iowa, where he majored in English/Education. Struck was a member of the Morningside Tennis Team. He was the team captain his senior year, when he also set the record for most wins in a season. The team also tied the record for most team wins in one year during his senior campaign. Struck was an All-Conference (GPAC) performer as well as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. Throughout his four and a half years at Morningside, Struck was the Morningside Jazz Band drummer. Struck coached freshmen boys basketball at Sioux City East the last two years, and he was the head tennis coach for Sioux City Bishop Heelan High School last year. Coach Struck will be the assistant girls basketball coach for Lone Tree High School this season. He was just recently married this summer, to his long time high school sweetheart, Megan. They are both originally from Cherokee, Iowa. She is currently attending graduate school at the University of Iowa. Together, they reside in Coralville with their cat, Frosty. Mr. Struck is a huge sports fan, cheering for the 76ers, Yankees, Vikings, Hawkeyes, Longhorns, and now Lone Tree Lions!
