I am the K-5 Principal at Lone Tree Elementary School. I have a background in elementary education, elementary special education, and middle school special education. I received my Masterís Degree in Reading at Western Illinois University and my Education Administration Certificate through the University of Northern Iowa. I am currently continuing my learning at the University of Northern Iowa in the Educational Leadership Program with studies in Superintendent Leadership. I have taught in the school districts of Greene, Burlington, and Davenport. I reside in Riverside with my husband Kreig who is a wildlife artist and our five children Carter, Chloe, Madeline, Sebastian, and Finley. In my spare time, I enjoy being with her family, watching my childrenís sporting events, attending Lone Tree Lions activities, gardening, and cooking. As an educator, I continue to strive to make the Lone Tree Elementary School the best place for learning for kids. This year, there will be a greater focus on the following' 1- Communicating with parents the progress and data that supports the learning of their children. 2- Provide teachers with quality feedback so that they can be the best teachers they can be. 3- Continuing to monitor, teach and correct acceptable student behavior that supports a positive school environment. 4- Ensure that the curriculum being used is viable and challenging for students. 5- Make certain that ALL learners are being accepted, treated fairly, and their needs are being addressed as individuals. Thank you for your involvement in the education of your child. I truly feel the students that have the greatest amount of parent involvement and collaboration with the school have a greater chance for success in school.
